eControl Electric Conversion
Complete control with your Aga or Range Cooker
Why eControl conversion?
With decades of Aga expertise and conversions, eControl have been carefully listening to their loyal customers who wanted a reliable yet more up-to-date conversion than the traditionally utilised 13amp systems.
The eControl system is a retrofit product that converts existing gas, oil, and electric traditional Agas to a truly controllable system.
How does the eControl conversion work?
Even distribution of heating elements and power ratings across the ovens allows each area to reach temperature fast and to achieve temperature stabilization and saturation much faster than earlier models.
The eControl System uses localised heating elements housed in specially designed insulated cassettes that gently hug the cast iron ovens releasing the required heat upon demand. Once the thermostats reach their respective temperatures the elements turn off thermostatically and the high thermal mass of the cast iron stores the heat until more is required. The aerospace foil backed insulation helps the ovens to retain the heat as long as possible – we are confident that our patent pending design allows for no alternative system to operate more efficiently or effectively under the same parameters. The cast iron ovens benefit from the eControl triple element system which ensures an indirect and balanced cooking experience. This is achieved through hidden elements mounted external to the visible oven cavities.

What about eControl running costs?
The eControl running costs are as low as £5.78 p/w (timer function), £15.05 p/w (Eco mode 24/7 continuous use) & £19.29 p/w (Full mode 24/7 continuous use) calculated using up to date energy tariffs at the energy price cap of 28p kw/hr. This flexibility means you can enjoy your Aga as the heart of the home in the winter months (as it provides the ambient heat you are used to) or limit its ambient heat in spring or summer months. Critically speaking it is now possible to dictate the running costs of your Aga cooker by taking advantage of flexibility provided within the simple features. Heat Up Times
As you can see from the below heat-up times, utilising ECO mode in-between cooking times can reduce your waiting times whilst still reducing your running costs.
Top Oven (from cold) – Roasting in 70 minutes. Baking in 50 minutes.
Top Oven (from Eco mode) – Roasting in 25 minutes. Baking in 5 minutes.
Hobs (from cold) – High in 8-10 minutes. Boiling in 14 minutes.
Hobs (from Eco mode) – Full Temperature in 5 minutes.
eControl Temperatures
As with all AGA Cookers, temperatures are a guide only. Actual temperatures can depend on a number of factors and readings will fluctuate.
Top Oven (Roasting): approx. 220c
Bottom Oven (Baking): approx. 180c
Bottom Oven (Simmering): approx. 120c
Boiling Hob: approx. 375c
Simmering Hob: approx. 265c
